Our latets record "Epidemic Of The Forked Tongue" just arrived in our mail yesterday, as well as our new shirt design! Both as of today, available through our online store. We are pretty stoked about the result and can't wait to share this baby with you folks!

This weekend we will be promoting this split with our buddies from Otis in the south of Holland! For our Northern brethren we will also be playing at the SImplon in Groningen (15 okt.) and Podium Asteriks Leeuwarden (28 okt). It looks like we haven't been updating our homepage lately. Well, it's summer and we're enjoying the beers and bbq's too much. We're busy preparing everything for our upcoming release. You can expect three new songs on a split vinyl which we will release together with our friends from Otis. More news soon including the artwork and a preview!!

Our well respected tour manager Adriaan moved from Full Spectrum bookings to the Alles Los Agency and asked us to help him out. So we packed his bags, filled up the truck with records and a ton of bands and moved along with him to the sunny side of Enschede. We had a blast in Scotland, playing the GoNorth and Rockness festivals. If you want to know how we experienced our time on the road you can check out the first episode of our trip to Scotland right here

Wednesday morning, after contributing our political vote to a government without the Dutch politician and  Muslim-hater Geert Wilders, we will be heading to Loch Ness (Scotland) to play both the Rockness and GoNorth festival. It’s the first time GREYLINE will be performing in the UK and we are really glad to have our first cup of tea on such a big and famous festival as Rockness. We will share the stage with bands like The Strokes, Enter Shikari, Pendulum and Aphex Twin, to name a few. It’s really an honor and we’re looking forward to play – hopefully- in front of thousands of people.

Thursday, the day before our gig on Rockness, we’re playing in the centre of Inverness during the goNorth festival. GoNorth is comparable to the Dutch Eurosonic festival; it’s an opportunity for talented European bands to reach a bigger crowd and to get in touch with ‘important’ people in the music industry.

In order to promote our new album abroad, we’ll be doing two shows in Copenhagen this weekend. For two days we will be playing in the capital of Denmark, visiting Copenhagen’s best known rock temples. Thursday the 8th of April we will be supported by local stoner heroes Ferguson Overdrive in The Rock. On April 9th the Beta will be turned into a stoner pit with Dødning. We'll keep you posted!

The Dutch website MusicFromNL has chosen us as their Artist of the Week. There is an in-depth interview online with Job about the songs on our new album. Be sure to check it out (for dutch readers only). They also give away some signed promo-cd's of Behind The Masquerade.

The stoner/metal band GREYLINE from Groningen, the Netherlands, will present their new album Behind The Masquerade on Februari the 19th. The well known Vera venue in Groningen will be the place where they kick of this party, and they will be supported by the bands Anaphylactic Shock, Dr Doom and Heavy Lord. The doors open at eight o’clock and the first band will start at 20:30 hrs, the entrance will be free.

The limited vinyl edition of Behind The Masquerade (500 pieces) is pressed for the fans that want something extra besides their digital version, which can be downloaded for free on their website. On their myspace you can already listen to some new tunes that are going to be on the new album.

GREYLINE already played the well known Eurosonic festival in Groningen this year and is working hard to promote their upcoming record. Their live performance is even heavier and darker than their album. Think of Mastodon, Poison The Well and Neurosis combined in one mindblowing liveset. Later this year they will be promoting their new album abroad as well. Keep an eye out for their tour schedule!

The three other bands that will play on the releaseparty are Anaphylactic shock, who will be kick off the evening with a nice blend of Disfear-, Pentagram-, and High on Fire-like stoner and sludge.

If they did not wake the audience yet, Dr Doom will. Their brutal mix of grind and stoner, think Rotten Sound meets Carcass, is a refreshing new sound in the grindcore scene, and will make the laziest bastards jump out of their chairs into the pit of doom.

Heavy Lord will be headlining the party with their nineties type of doom metal. Their music is hypnotizing in ways like Cathedral and Sleep and will lead this heavy night to a perfect ending.

There is a special offer for the people that are attending the releaseparty. For only 15 euros you get one of the 500 LP’s, a promo-cd version of the album, and a T-shirt of your choice. You can also order your LP or T-shirt on their renewed webshop.

Dutch metal band GREYLINE offer their new album Behind The Masquerade as a free download on their website www.greyonline.nl starting February 19th, because they feel distributing the album through the internet is the way of the future and the best way to reach as many people as possible.

Behind The Masquerade will not be released on CD, but only on LP, via Black Death Records (February 19th). “Vinyl sounds warm: you’ve got a beautiful, big album cover in your hands, and then the ritual of putting the needle on the disc, followed by pure enjoyment. It feels close to magic.” says GREYLINE-frontman Jabe Piter Faber. “The release of 500 LP's is for people who want something extra, besides just owning the digital album.” First two songs are already up for streaming via their myspace.

The mixing of Behind The Masquerade was done by Philip Cope. He is responsible for the production of The Red Album (Relapse 2009) by the rock/metal band Baroness, and is producer and guitarist/vocalist for the stoner/sludge-formation Kylesa. Scott Hull (Visceral Sound) did the powerful masterering. Hull is guitarist/producer for Agorophobic Nosebleed and Pig Destroyer, and produced/mastered numerous releases for cult metal-label Relapse Records.

Black Death Records label boss Mario van Meer comments regarding the deal with GREYLINE; “We didn't have to think long before adding Greyline to our family; the deal is solely based on the fact that they are an amazing band. Period! They are in fact the first band on Black Death that didn't have to sacrifice us their kid sisters to get signed.”

Behind the Masquerade will be distributed by Sonic Rendezvous, and is available in Europe on February 22nd. The LP is available online at www.sugarandspice.fr.

During the coming months GREYLINE will be performing intensly to promote the new album. Tourdates are up on the bands website and Myspace.

Through the Academy for Popculture in Leeuwarden (NL), the band Noir is setting up a project called "The Berlin Wall of Sound". This project wants to create a wall of sound at the place where the Berlin Wall once stood on November 9th 2009, 20 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

GREYLINE will support their cause and join the 206 people that will shred their guitars in memory of the fallen, as a reminder of the importance of freedom and as a tribute to the 206 people who passed away between 1961 and 1989 as a "victim of the wall".
